Norwich - Thorpe Road and Lower Clarence Road
As part of the transforming cities project, a city bound bus lane on Thorpe Road between Carrow Road and Clarence Road is being constructed. This will affect buses on route 5B and route 8. This work begins on Monday 15th March 2021, continuing to Monday 2nd July 2021. Buses on route 5B towards Wroxham will operate as normal, but buses towards the city centre will be diverted via Lower Clarence Road. Buses on route 8 will need to operate via the one way system, after leaving the rail station, via Carrow Road and Lower Clarence Road to access Thorpe Road (rail station side). A speed limit of 20 mph will be in place throughout the roadworks area.

Service 6 towards Norwich - this will operate as normally until Morrisons supermarket, then Post Mill Close (adjacent to Morrisons), Harts Farm Road to Fairland Green, and then carrying on as normal. Service 6 towards Watton - will operate as normal to Fairland Green, then via Harts Farm Road, Post Mill Close to Norwich Road (adjacent to Morrisons) then via Folly Road and Ethel Gooch Road and pick up the normal route at Melton Road. Bus stops at the Market Place will not be served. All journeys will pick up and set down at Fairland Green.
